Devlog 6: Where did this hole come from?


Me: drinking coffee from ceremonial chalice, checks last devlog.

Me: spits out coffee.

So you might be asking, where were we the past 3 weeks? Short answer: we took a small break to focus on other things. That doesn't mean we didn't continue working on the game. A few small changes on the gameplay side:

  • Character will now look in the direction you are walking while not using the right thumbstick.
  • Added flashlight mechanic. You can use the right trigger to focus the flashlight and damage enemies.
  • Added battery mechanic to the game. When the battery runs out the cone disapears. Press the X button to reload.
  • Added dash to character. Press B to dash.
  • Pentagrams are added. When entering the pentagram, you will be stuck and your sanity will be drained. You will be released after some time or when you run out of sanity.

You might also notice that the level changed a bit. Yeah, it has improved a lot since last time. Hmm, what was that? You are asking about the giant hole in the middle. Don't worry about it. Go have a closer look, and don't worry. I am standing right behind you, definitely not intending to push you in to feed you to our god.

Casandra here! I spent most of the week working on textures for our adorable protagonists. They are now completed and the rigs are well on their way. There are now two models that will each have a colour variation to make each of the 4 possible players unique.  The model for our first enemy is also complete and so are its textures.
